Medical Management Services, Inc. ("MMS"), founded in 1987 to provide medical review services and acquired by HMA, INC. in 1993, is headquartered in Tempe, Arizona and is a wholly owned subsidiary of HMA, INC.   MMS is now a leading healthcare management company focused on improving the office performance of physician practices.

Medical Management Services, Inc. began as a regional medical management organization providing utilization review, quality assessment, performance improvement and large case management to both self-funded and fully insured health plans. HMA, INC. acquired MMS for their systems, processes and key staff members to further its strategic direction of becoming a fully integrated management company. Over time, MMS was fully assimilated into the HMA organization. As a result, HMA, INC. today is widely recognized as The Integrated Health Care Management Company.

Medical Management Services, Inc. subsequently evolved into a diverse organization that provides all aspects of management and advisory services to physician group practices, including single specialty and multi-specialty groups. MMS provides a full menu of services ranging from simple consulting services to complex practice management solutions, including staffing. The MMS goal is to free physicians from administrative responsibilities, allowing them to focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
